What does the countdown actually mean?
The mileage shown is an approximate distance before a starting restriction applies, not a timer showing when the engine will suddenly stop. Once the restriction takes effect, you may be unable to restart after switching off. Follow the instructions in your vehicle handbook.
An AdBlue light, an emissions warning and a countdown can appear together. The exact wording matters: a request to refill and a message reporting an emissions fault need different attention. Photograph the whole message while safely parked.
Will adding AdBlue clear the warning?
If the warning is caused by a low level, follow your handbook's refill instructions, including the required quantity. The vehicle may need a short period to recognise the refill. Do not assume a small top-up is enough to release a starting restriction.
A confirmed emissions-system fault can trigger its own countdown. Adding fluid does not necessarily resolve that fault, even when there is plenty in the tank. If the warning remains, get it assessed rather than repeatedly topping up.
When contacting us, say whether you have already refilled, roughly how much you added and whether the displayed message changed. Tell us about any other warnings too, rather than assuming they all have the same cause.

Can you help if my car or van already will not start?
Contact us with your registration and a photo of the message, and say that it will not start. We check suitability before arranging work. Our AdBlue software service does not resolve a no-start caused by an unrelated fault.
Does AdBlue Removal mean taking the tank out?
No. Our AdBlue Removal service changes the engine computer's software. We do not physically remove the tank or carry out other parts work.
Will every dashboard warning disappear?
No. The service addresses AdBlue-related warnings and the countdown on suitable vehicles. Other engine or vehicle faults are outside the scope of this work.
Is an economy or performance remap included?
No. Economy Remap, Performance Remap, Stage 1 Remap, Stage 2 Remap, DPF Delete and EGR Delete are separate software services, quoted separately and never free with AdBlue work. Stage 2 requires suitable supporting modifications.
What should I do before a later software update or recall?
Contact us to discuss the existing software work before proceeding. Later software updates or recalls void our Lifetime Software Warranty, so do not assume the original work will remain covered.
